‘Gone in 60 Second’ GT500 Eleanor replica sells at Barrett-Jackson for $110,000
Autographed by Carroll Shelby, this Eleanor replica is true to the movie ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’, down to the nuts and bolts. It was built by the much troubled Unique Performance which packed 585hp in the 427 Ford V8 engine. The rest of the car follows up with a lot of performance parts and a beautiful finish. It took $110,000 for a lucky bidder to get his hands on it a few days ago at the Barrett-Jackson auctions in Scottsdale, AZ. Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), with... Read More

Will Smith hunting deers with his GT 500 in I am Legend
We actually don’t know if those are actually deer, but it sure looks like fun and Will Smith doesn’t shoot any (for one moment we thought he was trying to run them over), so it’s safe to watch, even for animal lovers or PETA members. digg_url = \\\\\\\\\\\\'http://carsplusmovies.com/2008/01/15/i-am-legend-mustang-gt500-window-crash/\\\\\'\\\\\\\\\; This video was shot during the filming of a stunt scene from I Am Legend. The red Shelby Mustang GT 500 goes through a window, in the same way Charlton Heston went through one in the Omega Man (1971). Which is pretty normal since the two movies are based on the same book by Richard Matheson (published in 1954)… Video after the jump. Read More Read More
Eleanor’s in town
Alex spotted the movie star today in Pasadena and managed to snap a few pictures. It’s probably a replica from Classic Recreations, but it could have been made somewhere else. Anyway it looks just like the one used by Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie in the 2000 remake of the 1974 movie Gone In Sixty Seconds, before it got completely trashed during a chase. The original one was based on a Shelby Mustang GT 500. Thanks to Alex Ksoll for the pictures! Photo gallery... Read More
