Red Mist gets a hum… kick-ass Mustang in ‘KICK-ASS’

Remember Mc Lovin’ from Superbad and the nerdy kid from Role Models? Well that’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse in real life, and he’s in the upcoming superhero comedy Kick-Ass with Nicolas Cage and Aaron Johnson. In this adaptation of the eponymous comic-book series, they play a team of real-life superheroes with no otherworldly powers, but with a good heart and a lot of guts. Christoper Mintz-Plasse gets a tricked-out previous generation (2009?) Ford Mustang with... Read More

Ferrari 412 in Daft Punk’s Electroma

The Dafts cruising through the California desert OK, we thought the movie was boring as h…, never seen that many people leave a theater before, but we stayed until the end just in case something good would happen. My favorite part turned out to be…. hold on…. the one with the Ferrari 412 that the two robots chose as their mean of transportation. Good choice, it fits them well. Sporting a “HUMAN” California license plate, the Daft-Punk-mobile reflects... Read More

Johnny Cash’s “One Piece at a Time” car

Johnny Cash is at the wheel in this picture from 1976. In one of our all time favorite “One Piece at a Time” by The Man in Black, a.k.a Johnny Cash, a guy working on a GM assembly line uses his big lunch box to take home a part of the car he’s working on, every day. And for the big ones, he uses a friend’s RV. The car you see above is the “official” one, since it was built specifically to promote the song. The work was executed by Bruce Fitzpatrick... Read More

Speed Racer: the videogame

Coming up with a racing video game a couple weeks after Gran Turismo 5 hit the shelves can sounds like a risky idea, but when you’re wearing the Speed Racer name and have all the buzz generated by the movie with you, it might not be that dangerous. The in-game video (that you can watch below) reminds us of games like F-Zero, Wipe-Out, TrackMania and Mario Kart (the Nintendo Wii version has been launched 3 days ago, and will compete with it too), as it’s arcade... Read More

Bumblebee vs Optimus Prime

Bumblebee vs Optimus Prime We don’t usually show fan made videos here, but when we saw the one put together by “Werewolf Movie Maker”, we decided to share it with you anyway. The animation is incredibly fluid and it’s preety funny. We first thought it was from Robot Chicken! Could Optimus get on Bumblebee’s nerves in Transformers 2? Thanks for the tip, Parker!  Read More

Speed Racer: new Italian TV spot

digg_url = 'http://carsplusmovies.com/2008/04/20/speed-racer-new-italian-tv-spot/'; This new trailer brings us more images, including the Mach 6 transformation AND it’s very cool to see it in Italian. It really feels like the movie will be a music-video paced visual overdose. Weirdly enough for a flick that seems targeted to a younger audience (try the toy section of your local Target store to see what I mean), it’s rated PG. Oh well, as they say: dal 9 Maggio... Read More
