iCollector is hosting a big movie prop auction, the Hollywood Auction Extravaganza. It’s a “2-day event featuring over 1000 iconic movie props and costumes from the Golden Era of Hollywood to new film releases. From signature Michael Jackson stageworn costumes, a collection from Star Wars to iconic props and costumes from Apocalypse Now, Batman, Titanic, Close Encounters, Indiana Jones and so much more”. One of the highlights is a character from Michael Bay’s Transformers 2, the bike Chromia. It’s a modified Suzuki with a gigantic tailpipe and all kinds of customs elements. Here’s the description:

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) – This is the original “Chromia” Arcee Motorcycle from Michael Bay’s film. This motorcycle, named “Chromia”, is based on the toy and comic book character. Created by Retro Superbike from a 2008 Suzuki B-King, it was used on set in the opening sequence of the movie and in the introduction of the new Autobot. It was called “F@cking Awesome” by Michael Bay when he first saw it. The paint scheme, as dictated by Bay and crew, depicts the Glyphs seen throughout the movie. Also includes a damaged fairing piece and the original studio rendering used for design approval. This item is oversized and will require additional shipping charges. Good move from Chevy finally using their movie cred from Transformers. Yes, there’s a third one coming, and that’s unfortunate. Or maybe they’ve actually hired writers this time and it’s awesome. who knows. In any case, it’s a funny video and we’re looking forward to more goodness on Sunday!

Michael Bay is at it again… This time is taking the battered franchise to Chicago to shoot Nascar vehicles. No idea how the plot line (wait, what?) holds there, but there’s also a convertible version of the Corvette concept, Bumblebee, Optimus with a trailer and vehicular carnage. The Nascar characters look pretty cool in their half-transformed state though. What do you guys think?

Michael Bay’s new summer blockbuster flick seems to be off to a good start. The film is getting a lot of attention, the shelves are full of toys and merchandise, the critics are alright and… according to, the movie had “shattered the Wednesday record, raking in $60.6 million on approximately 9,700 screens at 4,234 sites (including a record 169 IMAX venues) in its first day“! We have to admit, we’re a bit skeptical after seeing some of the trailers, but that’s quite an achievement and we’re still impatient to go see it.

Brand new trailer after the jump!

With Transformers on its second instalment already and G.I Joe coming soon in theatres, we have good hope to see the a live-action movie in the next few years (but should we…?) and that’s what some fan thought too when he put a trailer together on his computer. Yeah it’s a bit amateurish, but still it’s still cool that he spent the time and energy to make it!

OK, we hear you, it’s not a car, but as we stated before, we’re pretty open to any kind of cool movie vehicle and, secondly, Airwolf was probably pitched to the networks as “Think Knight Rider, but in an helicopter” (completely different from Street Hawk, which was pitched as “Knight Rider, but on a bike”). That said, the futuristic chopper and its awesome theme music was great to watch as a kid, and many of us began to dream of getting our pilot license because of it. Dark (like… KITT) and full of high-tech gadgets (like…KITT) and super fast (ok, you got the point), the Lady , as it was called, and its crew, fought the bad guys without asking for much in exchange.

As you guessed, we were happily surprised when we spotted this Airwolf replica on the auction website. Based, like the original, on a Bell 222, it’s not completely finished, but looks great (some of the props have to be acquired separetly). It was owned by the Helicopter Headquarters museum in Pigeon Hole, TN, but unfortunetly the museum “didn’t make it” and has to sell it. There’s even a website about the mock-up.
Right now it’s at $ 38,900 and the reserve hasn’t been made. So go ahead and bid. You know it would make your neighbors jealous when you install it in your backyard.

If you’ve wandered in the toy section of any store recently, you’ve probably noticed that it’s a big battle between Iron Man and Speed Racer. Which is a bit ironic, considering that the first one is PG-13 and the second one PG… but it doesn’t matter, the kids love them. And ourselves, we couldn’t resist the new Hotwheels collection and bought a couple of cars, including the Mach 5 and the Mach 6. So… which one is your favorite?

And again, another Speed Racer video! There’s definitely a Tron feeling to Speed Racer. So many neons on the buildings, the tracks… and look at that big rig! No element is left without a splash of color or some graphics. We also finally get to see Trixie (Christina Ricci) and her helicopter.

We don’t usually show fan made videos here, but when we saw the one put together by “Werewolf Movie Maker”, we decided to share it with you anyway. The animation is incredibly fluid and it’s preety funny. We first thought it was from Robot Chicken!
Could Optimus get on Bumblebee’s nerves in Transformers 2?
