Electric cars are back. Nissan LEAF, Chevrolet Volt, Tesla Roadster and soon, Tesla Model S, along with a slew of new vehicles from big and small companies, are shaping the way for the automotive future. That’s what Chris Paine, the director of the award-winning Who Killed The Electric Car is proposing you to discover in his new documentary Revenge of the Electric Car. The movie was released last week in LA and will be shown in fine theaters around the country in the coming weeks. Coming March 19th, Repo Men (which is not a remake of Repo Man, the awesome 80’s campy movie with Emilio Estevez, by the way) gives a creepy insight on what might be around the corner for us, and we’re not talking about the Health Care reform. No, in this future, a company called The Union makes replacement organs for humans, which is a scientific breakthrough a lot of people would welcome today. The downside of this is that if you don’t pay your bill, they send their guys, like Jude Law and Forest Whitaker, and they take it back, leaving you most likely dead, or at least in pretty bad shape. But when Jude Law gets hurt during a intervention and ends up with a replacement part that he cannot pay for, the sh…t hits the fan.

Now that’s not a lot of cars so far, but as you will see in the trailer below, these badass repo guys drive Volkswagen Touareg. The VW logo is clearly visible at the beginning of the trailer and you can recognize it from the rear in another angle. We don’t know yet if VW sponsored the movie, but we’ll find out soon. Until then, enjoy the trailer.

We’re not entirely convinced yet, but it looks pretty good.Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Quiton Jackson & Jessica Biel are in and hearing hints of the theme song is exciting. But mainly, THE VAN is there! Can’t wait to see more!

A Mad Max fan has built an Interceptor replica on a Ford Mustang Mach 1 base and is now trying to sell it on eBay for the small Buy it now price of $18k… It’s not base on a Falcon like it should and the supercharger, air scoops and side exhausts are fake, but it still looks cool and would have everyone in your neighborhood talking. Instant fame, just like that.
