Sunday Ads: a new direction for Kia

Kia TV ads used to be funny and a bit over-the-top, like the one with a salesman of the brand reenacting the famous danse scene frome Flashdance. But they got some attention.

Now Kia Motors America’s marketing director, Tim Chaney, was quoted by AdAge saying:

“We don’t want to spend a good chunk of our time in a 30-second spot trying to entertain people.”

Hum. So the new TV spot for the Borrego reflects the new direction, it pokes fun a the traditional SUV ads, while informing about the vehicle and looks more high end than ever before. Even the voice over, has that “luxury” touch.

Watch the ad.
