Sunday Ads: VW GTi “Pimp My Ride” campaign
In a week Kathy Griffin will be hosting
World’s Funniest Commercials: Hilarious Liaisons on TBS, and we’re guessing that they chose to air that on a Sunday because they wanted to compete with our crowd-favourite Sunday Ads section. All we can say is: good luck, Kathy.
“We’re gonna un-pimp your auto.”
Anyway, today we go back to 2006 and the excellent ad campaign for the Volkswagen GTi, where a mad german engineer and his sexy assistant mock pimped out rides owners, while bringing a fresher, funnier touch to the german maque.
