A sophisticated comic adaptation
To tell you the truth, it’s not often that we get excited about movies based on a comic book. Their quality is very uneven, and they tend to not cater enough to grown-ups, notably with hype commercial rock bands for soundtracks. But use AC/DC and Black Sabbath, hire a great actor such as Robert Downey Jr. for your lead character, write some good dialogues and throw in some of the hottest sport cars on the market and we just can’t wait for your blockbuster to come out.
Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark, weapon manufacturer and billionaire play-boy, who turns his life around after a “revelation”, and becomes Iron Man. Other members of the cast include great actors such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges.
Great cars
On top of that, Mr. Stark has very good taste when it comes to cars, and possesses quite a collection: Saleen S7, Shelby Cobra (that he accidentally destroys during a test)… and the Audi R8, pictured above with the Stark license plate. Iron Man is the latest example off Audi’s product placement strategy, which has been very good so far with the brand building it’s image a lot thanks to its halo model.
