Death Race (2008)
So… Death Race 2000 is being remade and we’re getting new pieces of information here and there. The working title is Death Race 3000 and it is schedule for release on September 26th, 2008 in the US. Paul W.S. Anderson (AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat) is directing it and I don’t know if that’s a good thing.
Jason Statham has the lead, playing a prisoner forced to race across the USA against fellow inmates, in 2020. Tyrese Gibson isn’t on the list anymore.
From the pictures and videos leaked, we can tell that the design is way different from the 1975 version. No more funny cars with teeth and wacky paint jobs, but a brutal, Mad Max kind of look.
